(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) (1 John 1:2)

“For the Lord, Jehovah did not deem the plan of salvation complete while invested on with His own love. By His appointments He has placed at His altar an Advocate clothed with our nature. As our Intercessor, Christ’s office work is to introduce us to God as His sons and daughters.”
“Christ has pledged Himself to be our substitute and surety, and He neglects no one. There is an inexhaustible fund of perfect obedience accruing from His obedience. In heaven His merits, His self-denial and self-sacrifice, are treasured as incense to be offered up with the prayers of His people. As the sinner’s sincere, humble prayers ascend to th throne of God, Christ mingles with them the merits of His own life of perfect obedience [as we watch Him walk through the storms of life]. Our prayers are made fragrant by this incense. Christ has pledged Himself to intercede in our behalf, and the Father always hears the Son. [We too hear the prayers of those around us, begging for the peace and strength only Our Father can give us.]”
“This is the mystery of godliness. That Christ should take human nature, and by a life of humiliation elevate man in the scale of moral worth with God: that he should carry His adopted nature to the throne of God, and there present his children to the Father, to have conferred upon them an honor exceeding that conferred up the angels,=this is the marvel of the heavenly universe, the mystery into which angels desire to look. This is love that melts the the sinner’s heart.”

“He who could not see human beings exposed to destruction without pouring out His soul unto death to save them from eternal ruin, will look with pity and compassion upon every soul who realizes that he cannot save himself.”
“Christ is your Advocate. In this powerful, hearty recognition of God’s love, take the hand of Christ, and hold it fast. His hand holds you much firmer than you can hold His hand.” Sons and Daughters of God, Ellen White p. 22.
Note by Connie: “The Day of Judgment” is practiced one a year by the Jews. A week long self examination for personal sins, against God and each other comes to the end on the 7th day. This purification of character is reaching in to our in most being, for the secret things we might be hiding from ourselves we find we dislike, and want to give away, in a sense, to be purified. Yom Kipper does not come, in a day, but in a week everyone’s mind, is being dedicated to find perfect and peace and joy in God and all mankind. “Sins” are not forgiven, until the very last trumpet sounds, at midnight on Saturday night. It is at the moment of midnight the Trumpets sound, as if the angels above the Commandments of God, have found unity in their decision that His Law has been soundly proven to be the Essence of Purity in Judging the World and Worlds beyond, the Great Controversy with God will sound through out the Universe, and the Conflict between Michael and Lucifer will be over on Earth!
“Pitka Katav” are the words in Hebrew “A wish for you, that the verdict will be positive, when the Trumpets Sound, on the Great Day of Judgment this year.” It sounds like “Pit ka tav ah.” One might think, we could also wish, for “The pit, to have the sins, put on the devil’s head for all the harm he did in showing us a better way, to see our Abba, or Father!
The Great Day of Judgment, has never been about you and I, it began with a created being, fighting the Laws of God, for The Universe. Coming into compliance with the Law of God brings man into willing contentment that “we too” have found that hand reaching down to assurance in His confidence He can forgive the path we have to take, to find Him and perfect peace with God and man.
