God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through him. (Romans 5:8,9)
Christ has made reconciliation for sin, and has borne all its ignominy, reproach, and punishment; and yet while bearing sin, He has brought in everlasting righteousness, so that the believer is spotless before God. . . .
But there are may who claim to be children of God who are resting their hopes upon other dependencies, rather than on the blood of Christ alone. When urged to rest their faith wholly upon Christ as complete Saviour, many reveal the fact that they have faith in something that they think they can do. They say, “I have a great dealt o do before I can be fit to come to Christ.” Another says, “When I have done to the uttermost all I can do, then he Lord Jesus will come to my help.” They image that they have a great deal to do them selves to save their own souls, and that Jesus will come in and piece out that part which is lacking, and give the finishing stroke to their salvation. These poor souls will not be strong in God until thy accept Christ as complete Savior. They can add nothing to their salvation.
The Israelites were required to sprinkle the door-posts with the blood of a slain lamb, in order that when the angel of death passed through the land, they might escape destruction. But if instead of doing this simple act of faith and obedience, they had barricaded the door, and taken every precaution to keep the destroying angel out, their pains would have been in vain. . . . When the blood was seen upon the door-post, it was enough. The salvation of the house was assured. So it is in the work of salvation; it is the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanseth from all sin.
Through the merits of His blood, you may overcome every spiritual foe, and remedy every defect of character.
ELLEN G. WHITE QUOTES: from her book, SON AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD. Comments by Connie:
Have we made salvation, by the blood of Jesus Christ, something a child can understand? Or do we need to go back to Jesus Loves Me too! Like a five year old!
Caleb my grandson, was worried that if he did something wrong, it might hurt his cat. And that thought disturbed him. Can an adult replace the idea of hurting a pet, a cat, with the human sacrifice Jesus made, to give us His free gift of salvation?
It was easy as a small child for me to pray for my dying dog.
It’s getting easier to say, “May I pray that God’s will be done on earth, as it is in heaven ~ where there is no sickness, pain or sorrow?” And in the question is the prayer, for my friend to get better. And she smiled. I don’t think it was about the inflamed sore on her leg ~ it more about someone who cared, she was hurting and wanted her to get better, and God agrees, that He does not like sickness, pain or sorrow!
Last weekend a friend told me, “My mother used to pray every day for me.” She had passed away. That moment I decided to be his mother. And I hope that you become my Mother, and pray for me too. I also found a new son, last Sabbath. Out of my mouth, I said, “Thank you son.” And that was not in my vocabulary, but he is a young pastor, and it shocked him too, he also lost his praying Mother.
Maybe this is what a Grandma can do. Include prayers for her growing family, as she adopts those who need a cheering squad, even it is just because we two, know, we two need God and each other?
I have a prayer list, that includes you, those I don’t know, but Jesus does! I daily ask Him, to send out His Angels, to finish the work, I can’t do….and that includes you. LOL Silly Grandma, they call Nana Banana. All incompassing love?
Does that include Jews, Gentiles, beasts and plants, atheist and scientists too….God knows each of you! He knows that is not what Lucifer wants me to do….so what, shall I denying there is a God? Isn’t that how the devil undermines the Government of God???
we shall be saved from the wrath through him.
My God is bigger than the devil! If the devil can conquer your mind, he says, “This soul is mine.” Repeat these words: “I’m saved by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus is My Lord and Saviour.”
Like a child each morning, I place a crown upon the Head of the one who died for me! Have you seen the NASA HAND OF GOD?

What can do with God, who died for me and you, and wants to place a crown on our head too?
Isn’t this a great sign and wonder, of God who show the power in His Hand, to the Israeli soldier and the Arab from Gaza, who fired the missile, that was taken by the HAND OF GOD, to the ocean, to let it drop, where no Israeli people, could hurt. It was headed to destroy hundreds, it was turned into the sea.
The Arab’s translation was the God of Israel is defending His people.
Where is Allah now? Whose side do you want to be on? or not….just be an observer…and do nothing….half on and half off…the road to trusting in God.
It’s not to late to pray, “Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.” Unless you fear the unknown of space…and godless race…ready to destroy…your spaceship…when you get there. Will you understand His Tongue? His language? Or will HIS HAND, be against those who destroy His Kingdom?
Does God know what it will take to humble us?
Fear God, for this is beginning of wisdom…He can make a hand appear…just as the hand appeared on the wall, the day Babylon would fall, according to prophecy, some 400 years before, Cyrus would be the commander, the day Babylon would fall, they would wall under the open gate, to take the grandson of King Nebuchadnezzar, as Daniel read the warning. Today your Kingdom will fall, you are weighed in the balance and found wanting.
Judgement hour is here! Who will you FEAR?
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
What has this King of Destruction have to say?
