Taking Back the Temple Mount

million or so people. The first day they went around once.  The Second Day they went around twice.  The Third Day they went around three times. The Fourth Day they went around four times.

You get the idea, of millions of people, going a walk, around the Temple Mount, asking God to bring His Holy Spirit, to the ground, to preserve His Name and His Glory?

Let me tell you a true story. I left the hotel outside the Old City of Jerusalem, wishing very much to convince Rabbi Chaim Richmen that God could use an old lady and her son, to help them fullfill the vision of Ezekiel 9. The walk downhill from the YMCA hotel, takes about 20-25 minutes to the Jewish Quarter. The maze of streets, narrow alleys, hard white polished stones, beneath your feet, remind you with every step, of the “rock” beneath the “foundation” of the Temple Mount. I hadn’t flown some eleven hours to be disappointed, but on my way to meet the Rabbi, a salesman was selling labels for a donation to the Jewish cause. He placed the label on the back of my yellow garb.

Standing in front of the Temple Institute you can’t help but look down and view of the Wailing Wall to the East. Nearby the Golden Menorah weighing some two tons, stands outside in glass-like case,  hopefully to be placed in the “new temple” one day. At the center of the Jewish Quarter is the Synagogue, stores, restaurants, and tourists clatter with the excitement of a new day.

Waiting for the Temple Institute to open I rehearsed my lines. “I am here to give you the prophecy of Ellen White. The Ark of the Testimony will come out of hiding. Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled.” After waiting for an opportunity to speak to this illustrious gentlemen, what came out of my mouth was: “I do not wish to waste your time or mine. The prophecy of Ellen White is that the Ark of the Testimony will come out of hiding and Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled.” Such an abrupt and short eruption of facts, took the Rabbi Richmen by surprise.

“We do not listen to any prophets that do no have the blood of Aaron.” He replied curtly.

The Golden Candlestick represents the light of God continually burning in the Temple (In our lives) 24/7. To understand the Sanctuary and its symbols is another "rabbit trail" worth exploring. . .Visiting the Sanctuary, when a mobile Sanctuary was in our area, Meredith Williams said, "Why would anyone not want to be a Christian?" He is the light, the way into the Sanctuary, the Gate, the Door, to His love, His House, His friendship.

He had not heard, the words, of Ellen White, totally agreeing with the TempleInstitute.org web site.

It was as if a gunshot had been heard, to shoot down this old lady dressed in yellow, as I turned the label on my back in blue, shouted out the message on the patch, placed there on my back, by the salesmen who said, “This is the patch worn by youth who have completed their Mitzvah or coming of age, their confirmation of their faith at their Bar Mitzvah?” What the Rabbi saw, as I turned away, were the words, “An undivided Jerusalem.” Meaning of course, that I was welcome to Jerusalem, just like you.  However, being a Christian without concern for my “blood line.” I am adopted by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, and I and my son, could walk on the Temple Mount, where the proud Jew was bound by his blood.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the label on my back. And somehow it stirred me to want to walk it off. I descended the many steps to towards the Wailing Wall. I had been cut down for agreeing with Temple institute, did he really mean “I” needed a blood test? When I knew all too well, they have tested the blood of Jesus Christ!  They know it has 24 chromosomes of dry blood that comes alive when they add water. And does this proud Jew, also have the blood of Our Messiah in Him? The label on my back said, “Jews for an undivided Jerusalem.”

Well, this is where the story begins of decision to “reclaim” the Temple Mount for the true, “Children of God” around the world.  What I didn’t know, was walking around the Temple Mount was going to take me over eight hours.  By sunset, my feet would be telling me, they would not like to finish the walk, from the old city, back to the YMCA. I had beaten myself up, met new friends, saw a snake and geiko along the Eastern Wall, pushed a car with little girl inside, out of the way of a horrific traffic jam, where the buses and tourist enter the Wailing Wall, and then . . .I met these Jewish men in their traditional orthodox costumes. I was heading back up that stairway, when a young man called out. “Remember me? You said you could talk to me after you finished your walk?”  It seems to walk around the Temple Mount eight times is something of a feat, to be admired and for some a goal, to achieve to receive a higher “rating” in a prophet or priest. When he suggested he would be happy to hail a cab and get me back to the YMCA, He and father were like angels coming to rescue me. I had come without money to pay for taxi ride back.

But consider the value of many people of every nation, taking back the Temple Mount, not for

themselves, but for God to be re-established! The GOD who brought Joseph to Egypt. The God who brought Moses and the plagues on Egypt. The God who brought millions out of slavery and bondage to the King of Egypt, The God who lead His Children through the Red Sea.  The God who spoke the laws of His Government in Heaven from Mount Sinai. The God who permitted His children to go into Babylon. The God who gave King Nebuchadnezzar seven years of insanity for thinking he could establish himself as King of World. The God who now pulls himself together to put His Wrath on those who rebel and vex His Holy Spirit, has become the God of Mount Sinai again.

Blood of the Sacrificial Lamb over their doors, would be saved. . .and taken out of slavery and given the land, God promised to be the inheritance of the Jews.

This is called fondly a “rabbit trail” by the Jews. We began to talk about retaking the Temple Mount, and soon we are off, on a rabbit trail…to learn more, discover more…and the time flys. Can you blame me for loving to talk about My God and how He has defended His people in the past, present and will do, in the future?

If it took me 8 hours to walks around the Temple Mount, then how many hours would it take a group of people, to walk around it seven times? Jericho is not that large, maybe about the same size as the Temple Mount? If they started in the morning, there would still be people and children going around Jericho for at least 8 X 7 hours. . .all day and all night and back to day? Sounds like an impossible feat today. Walking around the Temple Mount, takes you through the Jewish Quarter, to the Road Jesus passed by, on His Way to be Judged by Pilot on His Way to the Cross, out the Damascus Gate to Jeremiah’s Grotto, to the place of the Skull, the Golgotha and the Empty Garden Tomb, just to the North of Temple Mount. But a long way to carry a cross after being beaten almost to death.

You think this is too much for one story? How can you talk about the Temple Mount without it? It’s like walking through layers of history…
