As Overcomers, We Sit With Christ on His Throne

No longer aliens for heaven to fear. . . because of freedom, we have allegiance to God, His Disciples, The New Jerusalem, and New Planets to meet and greet the people there.

When the New Jerusalem settles down on earth, after the thousand years of being with Christ, His Father, and their Holy Spirit, we will be prepared to understand their verdict. God’s books are opened so we can investigate.

It is proper for God to allow us to Discover the reasons why humans aligned with those who would openly disobey the Ten Laws of His Government. Today some still prefer to crucify Jesus Christ as if “sin” falls upon Him, to die daily.

In these words, individual work is laid out for each one of us. We are to make determined efforts to overcome as Christ overcame. Jesus laid aside His Robes of Royalty. . . . His riches, and for our sake became poor, that we might come into possession of an immortal inheritance. On our behalf, He met and conquered the prince of darkness.

Around me are people whose lives outshine mine. . . . humans dedicated to making the world a better place for others.

What can one person do? How can I explain the journey, the pain, the laughter, and tears brought on, by witnessing the joy, grace, and love in others, who find Jesus is divine?

God Bless You with His power to hide you under His wings, and may His face always shine upon you and give your peace!

May we all stand without fault before the Throne of God and celebrate what all He has done for us, to lead us Home via the way to His House.

Favored by the word. . . spoken that became flesh . . . as He dwells among us. May we overcome the same way He did. . . knowing there is a rest in the grave, until He comes again!

We Are Made Pillars in the Temple of God

Photo by Hert Niks on Pexels.com

Rev 3:12  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

“The only hope of any man or woman lies through Jesus Christ. . . . The pure and holy garments are not prepared to be put on by anyone after he has entered the gate of the city. All who enter will have on the robe of Christ’s righteousness, and the name of God will be seen on their foreheads. This name is the symbol which the apostle saw in vision, and signifies the yielding of the mind to intelligent and loyal obedience to all of God’s commandments.”

“The conflict that we are passing through is the last we shall have in this world. We are now in the midst of it. Two parties are striving for supremacy. In this conflict, we cannot be neutral. We must stand either on one side or on the other. If we take our position on the side of Christ, if we acknowledge Him before the world in word or work, we are bearing a living testimony as to whom we have chosen to serve and honor. In this important period of earth’s history, we cannot afford to leave anyone in uncertainty as to whose side we are on. . .

“In order to gain the victory over every besetment of the enemy, we must lay hold on a power that is out of and beyond ourselves. We must maintain a constant, living connection with Christ, who has the power to give victory to every soul that will maintain an attitude of faith and humility. . . As those who hope to receive the overcomer’s reward, we must press forward in the Christian warfare, though at every advance we meet with opposition. . . . As overcomers, we are to reign with Christ in the heavenly courts, and we are to overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God.”

Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for December 29, 2022

As the world is listening to “saber-rattling” from leaders seeming to wish they could force others into a mold of their making…the freedom given to us by God, is within the boundaries of His rules. . .which include not coveting what belongs to our neighbors…

Will we give others freedom too?

We Are Presented to the Father

Photo by Juan Pablo Serrano Arenas on Pexels.com

Rev 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

“The expression, “He that overcometh,” indicates that there is something for every one of us to overcome. The overcomer is to be clothed in the white raiment of Christ’s righteousness, and of him, it is written: “I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” O, what a privilege it is to be an overcomer, and to have our names presented before the Father by the Saviour Himself.”

“What a precious assurance is contained in this promise! What greater inducement could be presented to us to become the sons and daughters of God? Who will put on the whole armor? Who will enlist under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel? . . . Divine enlightenment may come to every struggling, tempted child of God in order that he/she need not fall in the strife with the powers of darkness, but be a conqueror in every battle.

The spotless robe of Christ’s righteousness is placed upon the tried, tempted, yet faithful children of God. . . . Their names are retained in the Lamb’s book of life, enrolled among the faithful of all ages. They have resisted the wiles of the deceiver; they have not been turned from their loyalty by the dragon’s roar. Now they are eternally secure from the tempter’s devices. . . . The remnant are not only pardoned and accepted, but honored. “A fair miter” is set upon their heads. They are to be as kings and priests unto God. While Satan was urging his accusations and seeking to destroy this company, holy angels, unseen, were passing to and fro, placing upon them the seal of the living God. These are they that stand upon Mount Zion with the Lamb, having the Father’s name written in their foreheads.”

Because We Are Worthy, We Shall Walk in White

Photo by JACK REDGATE on Pexels.com

Rev 3:4  Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

“When, as overcomers, we shall be “clothed in white raiment, “the Lord will acknowledge our faithfulness as verily as in the days of the early Christian church He acknowledged the “few names in Sardis,” who had “not defiled their garments,” and we shall walk with Him in white, for through his atoning sacrifice we shall be accounted worthy. . .

“In view of these encouraging promises, how earnestly should we strive to perfect a character that will enable us to stand before the Son of God! Only those who are clothed in the garments of His righteousness will be able to endure the glory of his presence when he shall appear with “power and great glory.”

“It means much to be an overcomer. The besetments of the enemy and all his evil agencies must be firmly resisted. Every moment we must be on guard. Not for one instant are we to lose sight of Christ, and of His power to save in the hour of trial. Our hand must be placed in His, that we may be upheld by the power of His might.

“If you are to sit at Christ’s table, and feast on the provisions He has furnished at the marriage supper of the Lamb, you must have a special garment, called the wedding garment, which is the white robe of Christ’s righteousness. Everyone who has on this robe is entitled to enter the city of God; and if Jesus had not been very desirous you should have a place in the mansions he has gone to prepare for those who love Him. He would not, at so great an expense to Himself, have made all these arrangements that you might prepare for His redeemed family.”

Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for December 26, 2022.

It makes me sigh and cry to even think of the joy, of being worthy to put on the garment He freely gives to everyone…The Robe of His Righteousness makes us worthy to eat at His table.

“He that Overcometh Shall Not be Hurt of the Second Death.”

Revelation 2:11 “He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”

“The wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of GOD is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord.” While life is the inheritance of the righteous, death is the portion of the wicked. Moses declared to Israel, “I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil.” The death referred to in these scriptures is not that pronouced upon Adam, for all mankind suffer the penallty of his transgression. It is the “second death” that is placed in contrast with everlasting life.

“In consequence of Adam’s sin, death passed upon the whole human race. All alike go down into the grave. And through the provisions of the plan of salvation, all are to be brought forth from their grave. “There shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.” “for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” But the distinction is made between the two classes that are brought forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnantion.” They who have been “accounted worthy” of the resurrection of life, are “blessed and holy.” “On such the second death hath no power.” But those who have not, through repentance and faith, secured pardon, must receive the penalty of transgrsssion.

“Said the angel, “Satan is the root, his children are the branches. They are now consumed root and branch. They are never to have a resurrection, and God will have a clean universe.” . . . And all the redeemed host, old and young, great and small, cast their glittering crowns at the feet of their Redeemer, and prostatrated themselves in adoration before Him, and worshiped Him that liveth forever and ever. The beautiful new earth, with all its glory, was the eternal inheritance of the saints.”

Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for December 26, 2022.

At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and say, “Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Phillipians 2:10, 11  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

All Eyes On Jerusalem?

Eze 9:2  And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer’s inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
Eze 9:3  And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
Eze 9:4  And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
Eze 9:5  And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
Eze 9:6  Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary.
Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

By the words of God, those who sigh and cry for all the abominations happening on the Temple Mount…are given a mark the angels can see, just as the angel passed over the homes of those living in Egypt, who put the “mark” of the “blood of the lamb” on their doorposts…before they were taken out of slavery to Pharaoh.

Today by faith, we grasp the Holy Spirit, by asking God to send it to us…and that puts courage, hope, joy, and heavenly anticipation of what all He has done for us…to save us by His blood sacrifice….

Welcome His gift of His Righteousness, because ours is like filthy rags…no one but Jesus has the right and authority to grant us Salvation, by putting on the Robe of His Righteousness…

Your free Christmas gift is a Robe….and His love like a Mother Hen, covers and comforts you. . . like a soft down blanket….He invites us to rest our souls in His hands.

P.S. This is the reason the temple must be built..to fulfill prophecy, to mark those who are saved by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ...and woe to those who come between the saving grace of Jesus Christ and His Sons and Daughters.

Farmers found a mother hen dead after a fire burned down the barn, but under her wings, the baby chicks were alive. . . a Mother hen was raised by folks, who owned Nebraska Sandhill Cranes. . .she was sitting on the eggs of the cranes to hatch them. . .but when they waded into the pond, she paced up and down on the sand…clucking…and trying to get them to get out of the water….she was a nervous wreck.

I think of Jesus waiting for us to ask him for help…like a mother hen begging us to not go into the wrong place…God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit…have reached the place of knowing no matter what they say or do….many will call upon His name..in times of trouble…I pray you do too!

As Overcomers We Inherit All Things, We Eat of the Tree of Life

In Hawaii these roots reach out, and grow up, and can cover acres of land. . . making room for the shade of man and animal.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ 2:7  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

“In view of the Lord’s soon coming, how earnest we should be in forming characters after the divine similitude. . . .

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Is not this worth striving for? If we lose heaven, we lose everything, and there are none of us who can afford to do that. If we keep in view the eternal joys awaiting the overcomer and trust in Christ as we strive for the perfection of character, do you think we shall be unhappy? Should it make us unhappy to imitate Christ’s example of self-denial and ministry?

“We are seeking for the life that measures with the life of God; therefore our natures must be brought into conformity with the will of God. We must so conduct our life work that we can go to God in confidence and open our hearts before Him, telling Him our necessities and believing that He hears and will give us grace and strength to carry out the principles of the Word of God. What we want is heaven, the victor’s crown, an entrance through the gates to the city of God, and the right to eat of the tree of life in the midst of the Paradise of God. We want to see the King in His beauty. Then daily let us keep our eyes fixed upon Christ, the perfection of human character, and laying hold of his divinity we shall have the strength of divinity to aid us in overcoming every evil tendency and desire.

“I thank God for my life. . . . I have a faith that looks over into the future, and sees the tree of life. Upon it grows precious fruits, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No more broken hearts, no more sadness, no more sins, no more sorrow, no more suffering, in that kingdom of glory.”

Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for December 23, 2022.

Jesus in me the HOPE of walking with HIM in His glory.

As Overcomers, We Inherit the Kingdom

“Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” Matthew 25:24.

“Every action of ours in befriending God’s people will be rewarded as done unto Himself.”

“In the day of final reckoning, Christ does not present before men the great work He has done for them in giving His life for their redemption. He presents before them the faithful work they have done for Him. What surpassing love is this? He even mentions the work of the heathen, who have no intelligent knowledge of the law of the Lord, but who have done the very things the law required, because they have heeded the voice speaking to them in the things of nature. When the Holy Spirit implants Christ’s Spirit in the heart of the savage, and he befriends God’s servants, the quickening of the heart’s sympathy is contrary to his nature, contrary to his education. The grace of God, working upon the darkened mind, has softened the savage nature untaught by the wisdom of men. . . .

Christ implants His grace in the heart of the savage, and he ministers to the necessity of the missionary, even before he has heard of comprehended the words of truth and life. Behold that crowd collected about God’s servants to harm him! But the Lord is working upon the heart and mind of perhaps one man to plead on behalf of his servant: and when the war council has determined the destruction of the Christian’s life, the intercession of that savage turns the decision, and his life is spared. O, the love that goes forth to the save for this one act! To such Christ says, in the Judgment: "I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." "Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."

Another year is passing behind us, and we are closer to heaven than we were yesterday. Merry Christmas.

Events of the Triumphant Hour All Nations are Gathered in Judgment

Matthew 25:32 “And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.”

Jesus referred to this day: As he watched the fishermen, separate the fish from the sea creatures they had to throw back into the water… “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”

“The judgment scene will take place in the presence of all the worlds; for this judgment, the government of God will be vindicated, and his law will stand forth as “holy, and just, and good.” Then every case will be decided, and sentence will be passed upon all. Sin will not then appear attractive, but will be seen in all its hideous magnitude.

“And before him shall be gathered all nations.” . . . Every deed, small and great, is to be brought into recognition. That which has been considered trivial here will then appear as it is. The two mites of the widow will be recognized. The cup of cold water offered, the prison visited, the hungry fed, –each will bring its own reward. In the open court around the throne of God it will appear a very different thing from what it did when it was performed. . . . It will be seen that these selfish pleasures and indulgences have made the human being a lover of pleasure more than a lover of God. . . .But it is not necessary for any to be deceived, and we shall not be if we have fully taken our stand with Christ to follow Him through evil as well as through good report.

“The character which we now manifest is deciding our future destiny. The happiness of heaven will be found by conforming to the will of God, and if men become members of the royal family in heaven, it will be because heaven has begun with them on earth.. . .The righteous will take every grace, every precious, sanctified ability, into the courts above, and exchange earth for heaven. God knows who are the loyal and true subjects of his kingdom on earth, and those who do His will upon earth as it is done in heaven will be made the members of the royal family above.”

Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for December 20, 2022

The signs written in the Bible are taking place all around us, now the judgment of the living has begun to show us how to live and love our neighbors…as ourselves…quite a job God has given us…to not even think of coveting what belongs to our neighbors.

God Bless and Keep You in His Peace, May His face always shine upon you.

I remember a time when the realization of being judged by God, made me think I am unworthy. . . and I needed to improve my character. Then I came to realize no one is perfect, and I am not perfect, but he came to bring repentance…and in all humility. . .its not so bad….to be humbled by God, knowing it is The Robe of His Righteousness, that He puts upon us…with a tag in the back that reads something like, “Made just for you.”

Accepting us just the way we come to Him, just as we are, He understands and cares! Good thing! I want to meet you there in Heaven! He has made mansions for us all! No worries!

The Dead in Christ Rise First

Photo by Gelgas Airlangga on Pexels.com

1Th 4:16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1Th 4:17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Th 4:18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Life-giver will call up His purchased possession in the first resurrection, and until that triumphant hour, when the last trump shall sound and the vast army shall come forth to eternal victory, every sleeping saint will be kept in safety and will be guarded as a precious jewel, who is known to God by name. By the power of the Savour that dwelt in them while living and because they were partakers of the divine nature, they are brought forth from the dead.

“The hour is coming,” Christ said, “In which, all that in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth.” That voice is to resound through all the habitations of the dead, and every saint who sleeps in Jesus will awake and leave his prison house. Then the virtue of character we have received from Christ’s righteousness will ally us to true greatness of the highest order.

“The victory of the sleeping saints will be glorious on the morning of the resurrection. . . . The Life-giver will crown with immortality all who come forth from the grave.

“There stands the risen host. The last thought was of death and its pangs. The last thoughts they had were of the grave and the tomb, but now they proclaim, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” . . . Here they stand and the finishing touch of immortality is put upon them and they go up to meet their Lord in the air. . . . There are the columns of angels on either side; . . . then the angelic choir strike the note of victory and the angels in the two columns take up the song and the redeemed host join as though they had been singing the song on the earth, and they have been. Oh, what music! There is not an inharmonious note. Every voice proclaims, “Worth is the Lamb that was slain.” he sees the travail of his soul, and is satisfied.”
