Even the intentional suppression of truth, by which injury may result to others, is a violation of the ninth commandment. They teach that no one who tries to appear what he is not, or whose words do not convey the real sentiment of his HEART, can be called truthful. . ..

“The eighth commandment is to barricade the soul, and hedges man in so that he shall make no injurious encroachment — which his self-love and desire for gain would make on his neighbor’s rights. It forbids every species of dishonesty, injustice, or fraud, however prevalent, however palliated by plausible pretenses.
“Thou shall not steal” was written by the finger of God upon the tables of stone, A deceptive courtship is maintained , private communications are kept up, until the affections of one who is inexperienced and knows not whereunto these things may grow, are in a measure withdrawn from her parents and placed upon him who shows by the very course he pursues that he is unworthy of her love. The Bible condemns every species of dishonesty.
“To trifle with hearts is a crime of no small magnitude in the sight of a holy God.”

What began as my private study on prophecy grew from the night, in 2002, when Walter was home from Pacific Union College on Spring Break. His question was, as he came through the door, without a hello or hug made me ask myself, “Who cares what happens AFTER 9-11-2001?”
That fateful night in the spring 2002 led me on a path of no return to status quo.So, I began a “list” of what questions show the mindset of publishing and polishing would become itself a reason to continue to ask more questions. 2. Who changed the word “waters” into a SEA OF HUMANITY and wrote a Nautical Tale?

Suddenly we are in God’s Heavenly Courtroom and the number 7 is being attached to the number of completion, of creation, in 7 days in GENESIS. Have you HEARD THE SILENCE OF GOD in anticipation of your future with Him ?

7 horned, 7 eyes, 7 Spirits of God, THE LAMB SLAIN, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, the ROOT OF DAVID, JESUS CHRIST OUR MESSIAH! DO NOT WEEP! HE HAS LOOSENED THE 7th SEAL of the 7 sealed SCROLL…..
YOU ARE THERE IN HEAVEN”S COURTROOM WHEN MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL has RECEIVE THE TITLE OF VICTORIOUS OVER LUIFER….ALL ARE IN AGREEMENT… .SIN MUST END
7. How do we know YOU and I are in agreement, that SIN SHOULD END?
This answer is up to you to: Are you ready for evil, sin and lies to END?
Then you too are in agreement with God and the occupants’ of HIS UNIVERSE.

THE LAW OF GOD MUST COME OUT OF HIDING, the ONE HE WROTE WITH HIS OWN FINGER ON MOUNT SINAI. It will be the convincing truth that GOD has not changed, nor could he change HIS LAW….if God could CHANGE HIS LAW, JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE TO DIE FOR OUR SINS.
GODS GOVERNMENT IS SUPERIOR TO all of man’s inventions.
On GODS list of what GOD has to DO, to HE HAS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SAVED BY HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, and THAT HIS GOVERNMENT WILL MAKE YOU SO HAPPY THAT YOU WILL LIKE TO MEET JESUS BY THE RIVER THAT RUNS THROUGH it, HIS HAPPY KINGDOM. Do I sound like Mr. Rodgers? YES! I would LIKE TO BE YOUR NEIGHBOR!
GODS LAWS ARE SIMPLIFIED AND YET GLORIFIED BY THE EXTENT OF BREAKING ONE, breaks them all. INTERCONNECTED LAWS OF GOD, with JESUS CHRIST AS THE HEAD OF HIS CHILDREN, shows us the depth of His mercy, love and JUSTICE. God will FORCE NO MAN to enter HIS KINGDOM.
We have to be willing to walk with Him, and know by His scars that HE LOVES US!

“When the thought of evil is loved and cherished, however secretly, said Jesus, it shows that sin still reigns in the heart. The soul is still in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity. He who finds pleasure in dwelling upon scenes of impurity, who indulges the evil thought, the lustful look, may behold in the open sin, with its burden of shame and heartbreaking grief, the true nature of the evil which he has hidden in the chambers of the soul. The season of temptation, under which, it may be, one falls into grievous sin, does not create the evil that is revealed, but only develops or makes manifest that which was hidden and latent in the heart. We had picked up Grandma Anderson from the Santa Rosa Airport, to take her to Washington, to meet with her oldest son. She was so delighted that I heard her quoting this verse in Isaiah 58: 14 I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth.
Grandma Anderson was feeling delightedly blessed and her love for God’s blessing made me happy to hear her child like faith, and joy in being taken up to RIDE UPON THE HIGH PLACES OF THE EARTH!

Sour grapes, make sour wine, intoxicating drink, that “she” the “whore on the wicked beast” has provided all NATIONS to drink, of the wine of her wrath, of her fornication.
REVELATION 18 is OPENED
The Fall of Babylon Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Rev 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. Rev 18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. This prophecy points us back to Revelation 8:9
Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; Rev 8:9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

His one sentence paragraph on this verse is:
“IMAGINE if can TODAY a THIRD WORLD ARMY invading WASHINGTON and setting fire to the Pentagon and White House.”
The all knowing, all powerful, all loving GOD, has given us 20 years to figure out the HAND OF GOD, wrote this prophecy of 9-11-2001 20 years ago. JESUS HIMSELF THE AUTHOR, of THIS PROPHECY, showed us a DAY OF JUDGMENT, where some would be saying:
Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
Unless we have a JONAH AND THE WHALE prophecy of 40 days for the last tribes to make up their mind, WHO THEY WISH TO WORSHIP….man 666 or GOD 777. . .will GOD GIVE THE WORLD 40 days to REPENT or die like those who were JUDGED, with fire and brimstone in SODOM AND GOMORRAH?
The white ashes of the cities burned by fire and brimstone that line the Dead Sea, is a museum that continues to educate the WORLD, as to GOD KEEPING HIS PROMISE, to SAVE TO THE UTMOST, all who call upon HIS NAME.
Mar_6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Luk_10:12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
The compassion of JESUS, to say, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. Pointing a finger at others, for their choice of living with someone rather than being alone, is not for us to judge. Some of the most compassionate people I know, are truly loving. There was a time when Old Maids lived together. There Old Bachelors who do the same.
A father and his son were on a Cruise Ship and family vacation. They had a shore excursion to go parasailing, and the woman in line behind them asked, “What is your relationship?” The farmer and his son, work together farming hundred of acres and their relationship is helping each other do farm labor.
Her question seemed out of line to them, and they laughed.
Perhaps the way farmers need to have help, and sometimes there is a sense of urgency in helping others, they need to KNOW, who they can TRUST, and WHO WILL SHOW UP to help them. This creates a fun kind of joking, and teasing, that happens. . .and these INSIDE JOKES, make live fun for those observing the farmer who comes into the coffee shop saying, “Good Morning “britches'” Yes, I know the story, and the inside joke. But you will just have to guess, about the fun relationship these two “men” have.. .and their remarks make everyone in the coffee shop smile.
Which reminds me, after the serious study of LAST DAY EVENTS…I need to go and get a cup of hot chocolate. . .this morning. . .to enjoy an inside joke. Just showing up in a coffee shop is enough to find a laugh.. .why would I want to miss out?

The study of GOD’S Law, has a way of making a change in the way we see ourselves.
Self-evaluation in Biblical proportions, improves with obeying THE HOLY SPIRIT, and asking for help in every strait, to strengthen our hope and assurance, to illuminate our minds and purify our hearts. He provides opportunities and opens channels of working. If His people are watching the indications of His providence, and are ready to cooperate with Him, they will see mighty results.
In the days of Nehemiah helping to build the walls around Jerusalem, his devotion to the work of God, and his equally firm reliance on God, lay the reason of the failure of his enemies to draw him into their power. The soul that is indolent falls an easy prey to temptation; but in the life that has a noble aim, an absorbing purpose, evil finds little foothold. The faith of him who is constantly advancing does not weaken; for above, beneath, beyond, he recognizes INFINITE LOVE, working out all things to accomplish His good purpose. God’s true servants work with a determination that will not fail because the throne of grace is their constant DEPENDENCE.
A deeper look at the LAW OF LOVE, extends our minds to acts of love, kindness, and helping others. Whatever influence would tend to unsettle the faith of God’s people in His guiding power, should be steadfastly withstood.
COVID, ISOLATION and just giving up, and doing nothing, makes me feel, that I have not accomplished anything. And there is joy, in getting the laundry done, the bed changed, the washing folded . . .and “the work” helps me sleep at night. . . .so I know it is a benefit to get exercise, and it is positively HELPFUL to body, mind and soul.
Taking time with GOD, before bed, to see life from His point of view, relaxes the muscles 💪 and prepares me to rest. . .under His wings. . .since He says, He is like a Mother Hen I can find rest and peace within my heart.
“All acts of injustice that tend to SHORTEN LIFE, the SPIRIT OF HATRED and REVENGE, or the indulgence of any PASSION that LEADS TO INJURIOUS ACTS toward others, or CAUSES US EVEN TO WISH THEM HARM (for “whoso hateth his brother is a murderer”); a SELFISH NEGLECT of CARING FOR THE NEEDY or SUFFERING; all SELF-INDULGENCE or UNNECESSARY DEPRIVATION or EXCESSIVE LABOR that tends to INJURE HEALTH, —all these are, to greater or less degree, violations of the sixth commandment.

These admonitions are given in total to help us see and understand by experience happiness is not found in “emotions”. . .true we like “good feelings” and there is something more to be said about having a “clear conscience.” And God is willing to forgive and forget, as we bring ourselves back into a “clear conscience.”
The word “LOVE” in the BIBLE is MERCY and FORGIVENESS. . . Forgive us our sins as we FORGIVE OTHERS…who “sin” against us. What a healthy and happy way to live by forgiving others. . . because we are all human….and in need of forgiveness….even if it is from another persons point of view.

There are many children who profess to know the truth, who do not render to their parents the HONOR and AFFECTION that are due to them, who manifest but little love to father and mother, and fail to honor them in deferring to their wishes, or in seeking to relieve them of anxiety. Many who profess to be Christians do not know what it means to “honor thy father and mother.” and consequently will know just as little what it means, “that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God give thee.” . . .The Heart-searcher knows what is your attitude toward your parents; for He is weighting moral character in the golden scales of the heavenly sanctuary. O, confess your neglect of your parents, confess your indifference toward them, and your contempt of God’s holy commandment.
“Parents are entitled to a degree of love and respect which is due to no other person. God Himself, who has placed upon them a responsibility for the souls committed to their charge, has ordained that during the earlier years of life, parents shall stand in the place of God to their children. And he who rejects the rightful authority of his parents, is rejecting the authority of God. The fifth commandment requires children not only to yield respect, submission, and obedience to the their parents, but also to give them love and tenderness, to lighten their cares, to guard their reputation, and to succor and comfort them in old age.

P.S. It takes TIME to GROW UP, to TOTALLY APPRECIATE what all good parents do, to help point us in the right direction.The older I get, the more I appreciate what my parents were trying to do, although Mom’s determination to get me into the place ‘she choose’ for me, to be, what she thought was for my best, may in hindsight, actually be just what I needed to learn. . . even by learning by the mistakes I made. . .gives me HOPE of being in Heaven, to meet the friends I knew. . . .who were hurt by some of my decisions. Never would I want to hurt the feelings of others by my careless indifference.
It was only as I found myself widowed, that the friend who showed up to be with me, showed me how to be friendly, to someone who needs a friend in the time of need. The stiff upper lip that got me through life, turned me into a cry baby. . . .and tears of JOY came in talking about the blessings of love. . . that came from five years of marriage.
Facing death, its vacancy in the heart, its an END TO AN ERA, as My Mother would say. And with every END, there is a NEW BEGINNING, of NEW TODAY. . . .and new light on FACING TOMORROW, which brings us closer to Heaven, than YESTERDAY.
Babe the cat has arrived at my feet, she too has been a bundle of soft fun to pet, and listen to her contented purring.

And when Eden shall bloom on earth again, God’s holy rest day will be honored by all beneath the sun. “From one sabbath to another” the inhabitants of the glorified new earth shall go up “to worship before me, saith the Lord.”

Sabbath was a happy day for our family of six. We bathed on Friday night, and we studied our Sabbath School Lessons, by classical music daddy played on the record player. We all had a book and daddy’s book was red. The Ellen G. White books were red. His interest in reading her writings was an example of his interest in character development and his interest in being a missionary, if not by going back to India, his mission field was whoever he met, and mostly every day by managing the Presses and Press Room at the Denver Post. His nick-name was “DOC” Ordelheide.
During the rise of confusion about integrating the “the blacks” in Denver, a well dressed educated man came in to apply for a job as pressman. Daddy listened to the man, then tried to convince him, that he was overeducated for the job. He could find better work and better wages. And this was seen by those who were pushing forward as an insult instead of encouragement. Daddy was always encouraging us to “do our best.d”
An education for his four children, a college education, was the goal of our parents, and they were prepared “to go to work” to make sure we each were given a four year college experience. World War II produced the G. I. bill that made it possible for USA to educate the men returning. The expansion of the college system even today is added by those who take advantage of a higher levels of research and self development.
The largest medical and educational facilities in the Protestant Church ⛪ are in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Missionaries are told, “If you need medical help, go to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital’s. The training of missionaries began in Lincoln, Nebraska and encouraged foreign student and began with training in nursing at Union College. Doctors and nurses were trained in Denver at the Porter Hospital. And sites for new educational facilities grew from the West to the East.
Management then needed direction which God inspired through a little lady, Ellen White, to go and find land “outside” the big cities, where future universities would grow and bring patients to see and know our God. Her travels around the world established foreign educational centers. Loma Linda University is a bustling pod of arms and legs moving towards their goal of being together in Heaven and bringing every soul to Jesus our friend and guide..
⛺ Camping, playing, canoeing, hiking, skating, singing, praising, together as a Dental Hygiene class mixed with the Dental School and with other students at Loma Linda was the highlight of our experience as students. Sundown on the beach, watching waves, hearing seagulls and sometimes fog horns was an altogether new and fascinating introduction to the Pacific Ocean. Once you come to the beach. . .there is an END. There is a point where you can NO FATHER, without a ship. But my sons found kites, with little surfboards, that could extend their view of the green waters below them, and a view of the land behind.
Someday we will have a view of the land, remade NEW without pollution. Someday we walk on golden streets made by our Creators hand. We will walk in the NEW JERUSALEM, with its golden onion topped art work that sits on layers of gemstones as a foundational , with gates made a single pearl. Who would think of using a pearl to make a round gate in a golden city that sours over seven million feet high?
Thinking of the math of GOD stretching an opening for His New Jerusalem to settle down between the Mount of Olives and Old Jerusalem, would take 1400 miles or more. That slice of earth will receive a MOUNMENT of GOLD, GEMS, and within the walls will be the SEVEN HILLS and probably SEVEN WATERFALLS, and SEVEN wonders of the WORLD, as HIS PRESENCE WILL SHINE . . .like it did with the Holy Shekinah Glory of the First Temple in Old Jerusalem.
Our GOD is too small, and when we think of what all He has to do to PREPARE US FOR HIS SECOND COMING, it seems to include the pollution and FEAR OF CLIMATE CHANGE….my dear…why can’t we, why can’t the pope, who thinks he is god, why can’t he, recreate and eradicate the pollution himself. A man’s number is 6, and the godhead is 666. It is in vain that a man thinks he is better than Jesus or even equal with THE GOD, who healed fed and led the thousands who came to Him.
How humbling it is to turn and point our finger to the TRUE GOD, TRUE CREATOR, true DEFENDER of all who come to Him. Lose the vanity of even thinking you can change His Law or destroy His prophets. They to tired to boil John the disciple Jesus in oil but he would not die. What and how will the ANTICHRIST try to destroy the two witnesses who come TO END THE QUESTION…”WHO IS GOD?” in Revelation 11.
LIncoln became my home away from home for many years. The class called DIGGING DEEPER was where the message of Revelation was studied that year. A professor came in to point out the END of the BIBLE is in the MIDDLE of REVELATION. Sitting on folding chairs around a blackboard in a classroom at Union College, began my search to find the answers that connected the two prophets, Ellen White and C. Mervyn Maxwell, that would lead me to understand, THE PROPHECY was FIRST written by the hand John the scribe, who listened to the voice of JESUS, in 95 A.D. on the Island of Patmos some 1936 years ago. 2021-95-1936 years ago.
It is humbling to think that the Holy Spirit came to me in church in 1985, and led me to do a stupid thing, that would divide the church between those who saw 20 people come forward that day wishing to know more about our GOD and HIS SON JESUS when the pastor read the ALTAR CALL, for the first time in over six years.
For 36 years I have tried to understand THE PROPHET JESUS, and HIS PLAN and MYSTERY OF SALVATION by HIS PERFECT LIFE, of loving people, and understanding WOMEN, like no other male in history. We have come this far by faith, and the FAITH OF JESUS, required HIM to know HE NEEDED TO TALK TO HIS FATHER, on a daily basis.
THIS TOO WE NEED TO KNOW, GOD invites us to PUT ON THE ROBE OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS every day. We can REQUEST HIS ROBE, His purity of thought, His words that bring blessings instead of curses, love instead of impatience, kindness instead of anger. The danger of using our “words” to cut, He gives us words to “heal”, works to love instead of destroy, words to build up the cause of God and glory of God.
I am smiling here, because I too have days of discouragement, and everything goes south. Where do I run to when I wish to go back to bed? I find the solace, the isolation the PERFECT PLACE TO USE MY HEAD….to think, and figure out, just what would JESUS DO? He would start the day with PRAYER, and HE TO, would be challenged dailly to show HIS ALLEGIANCE to GOD His Father.
LEFT ALONE…..to face myself, my worries, my fears, is NOT BAD! lol
GOD HAS A PLAN…..that includes YOU ANDME….to do what He wants us to do…and that is to BE OURSELVES…..in whatever color you want to paint yourself, with the addition of letting us SMELL the fresh air, cleansed of nitrogen, that the SNOW can DO that the rain cannot do. ISOLATION makes me want to get out and smell the world, walk on the broken cement sidewalks and wonder what all HE has planned for me to do and say TODAY.
Yesterday is HISTORY, tomorrow is a MYSTERY, that is why we live in the PRESENCE OF GOD, with his PRESENT OF TODAY.
Vain is an adjective and it defined as full of oneself. A person who is vain may be obsessed with his own appearance, or think very highly of his abilities.

“This commandment no only prohibits false oaths and common swearing, but it forbids us to use the name of God in a light or care-less manner, without regard to its awful significance. By the thoughtless mention of God in common conversation, by appeals to Him in trivial matters, and by the frequent and thoughtless repetition of His name, we dishonor Him. “Holy and reverend is his name.” All should meditate upon His majesty, His purity and holiness, that the heat may be impressed with a sense of His exalted character; and His holy name should be uttered with reverence and solemnity.

P.S. In Steve Tanner’s vision, something might happen on Sunday, February 21st, 2021. So its heads up to see what might happen on this day in 2021 of a SPIRITUAL NATURE. Steve is the son of a farmer, and he too takes on “the land” like a technician, which he is, with daily contemplating new ideas on how to solve any kind of problem, water, soil, solar energy, irrigation, seed, fertilizer, weed killer, but killer, tilling, even resting the soil in something called summer fallow, that takes into account the needs of the land to be relished by crops that put back nutrients into the ground.
The idea of learning all the ways to “not make it work in farming” takes in more than just flipping the switch on the combine that can plant 32 rows of corn at a time. Preparation, in planning before you even start the motor of a machine, could be an ALL CONSUMING, ALL TIME TAKING job. So, for the farmers wife, THE DAY OF PREPARATION, includes planning ahead on Friday for the celebration of REST. . .on Saturday. . .and perhaps even planning something after Sabbath, when the sun goes down.
Jerusalem Friday morning is buzz of activity, getting ready to REST on Saturday. However, the bus driver took us to look down the same street, at 3 PM. on Friday afternoon. We looked down the street at the shops, that are galy tagged with banners, and flowers, and kites and balloons, and objects that hang in the sky, like an outdoor CLASSROOM of colors, objects and things to stimulate the eyes. And there were NO PEOPLE out on walk or going to the stores, they were closed.
But recognizing God’s wisdom in our brain, to try and figure out WHAT WAS THAT and why was their a clowns doing mimes like they were locked in a glass box? If you children were stimulated like this, they too would need a “time” to digest the flow of creativity.
I liked to walk under the “flowers” above the eating areas of the back street. I liked to walk through the Muslim cemetery on the back lot behind the decorated streets. The FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS, lit up the sky, the walls, the stone paved streets and lanes that twist and hide what is going to happen around the next curved and dropping steps. The maze of little plaza’s and lines of shops like an ancient row of “cubics” in a high rise, is like a constant flowing of traffic in an open air market, with scents and glows from burning incense, that catches your nose. . .near the supposed “figs” from the Fig Tree mentioned in the Bible that got cursed that tastes more like a peanut covered with tasty flavor coating…and it was….that was no fig in it…but locals and tourist alike still like it. Hand the man five shekels and you get a bags worth of novel ideas and tastes.
Early one morning a photographer was catching the splash of the fountain surround by two story houses, that seemed to be airing their laundry. The exhibition of small clothing seem to denote the size of the young occupants. The Israel flag, was proudly flown on many houses, that also denotes its owner is Jewish and patriotic.
If you could raise your child in this brisk environment of sight, sound, music, taste, smells and flows of young people wearing the prayer shawls with their long strings on their shoulders, you to would want to play with the strings as they do, without thinking, and some are bouncing them around in their hand, like a musical instrument, or game itself. Those long locks of uncut hair depict the choice of the child to be seen and known as particular brand of Jewish teaching.
It was said when I was in High School that Jewish Children were seldom in trouble with the law. . .the Jewish neighborhood I lived in, had kids that needed a baby sitter. And they were very fun kids to tease, to find ways to get them to bed. And those days of babysiting most weekends and during the week, made me really want to have some challenge of my own one day. I couldn’t image a family without those little charging feet under my feet in the kitchen.
Little Roger came after 11 years a marriage. . .the locals had decided we were never going to have children. But one decided to let me know what to do, “You tell Rog, that if you don’t have a baby by the time you’re 30, you WANT A DIVORCE.” Game on! When the doctor said, “Connie would be hard to get pregnant” it didn’t take any time until I was. lol
I am ashamed, no maybe I’m not, to stir up the memories of having little Roger in the kitchen. I pointed to the eggs and said, “Throw those in bowl” it had water in the bowl, it needed eggs and cake mix. I turned to the sink and heard a “plop, plop” I was laughing before I turned around to see two whole eggs, un-cracked but safely landed in the water. I had just assumed the kid would understand, “throwing in the eggs. also included cracking them first.”
The one on one with the child, took the natural time to raise, but then came Walter, four to five years later, and one just assumes the little kid must know as much as the big kid, and pretty soon, something must WAKE UP MOM, to pedal harder in catching up, from what the little one needed to learn. . .before preschool…and the blanket he needed for the “nap.”
I am convinced the children train the MOM, or the MOM had better catch on to the game of “Whose the boss?” Now my Mom, had Janet and I at 15 months apart, so she just dressed us like twins, and we were treated like twins, until we began to realize we were different. And different ways were employed to keep the family unity, by doing dishes together. . .and this ritual, of not needing to dry the dishes, or help in the kitchen, where the goofy and funny things go ….takes away the FUN OF LIVING, tasting, eating with our buddies, which makes life so much MORE FUN!
My friend took her son to church. . .”:and Jesus gave them something to eat” so from his high chair, Jeremy at an early age caught his mother’s attention by saying, “Jesus gave them something to EAT.” He said what? He said the Memory verse?
But when daddy stuck that toy suction thing on his head to make us laugh, the round red raised patch, was also funny when he pulled it off. Janet was just enough smaller than me, when she went through that stage of bugging me, until I bugged her back. But at the old yellow kitchen table, she could hide her hands and mess with my leg. No one but me knew she was distracting me, and her pretty little face bore no semblance of what he little hand was doing to me. But when I bopped her back, it was me who got in trouble and sent to the sweetin up room.
Janet’s little pranks, egged on my Mother’s little pranks, and planning’s, made some good parties and cake and ice cream, but on a daily basis one should beware when you see Janet curling up her kitchen towel, ready to strike an unsuspecting rear end snap.
When you are sane and playing jokes, its really a PAIN, when you are labeled BIPOLAR, and can’t get into the game plan, by being spontaneous, with water hose, or clay we played with. You can do a lot with flashlight on the garage wall, while camping out the back yard during the summer. Mom stimulated our senses with her rose garden, and bleeding heart flowers, but these two parents of mine, outdid the whole neighborhood, with the sunken barbeque, round cement table, with a round turning table to send the food around without passing it. The doll house out of Uncle Jack’s chicken coop, was another of daddy’s masterpieces….I just thought every husband would be enthusiastic about playground equipment but when it came time to teach Walter how to fetch the ball, and throw the ball, and bat the ball, it was the MOMS job. I got pretty good at pitching to where his bat was headed. And shagging balls was good exercise in the park near Stanislaus River.
I would like to babble on about the good old day’s with lazy days letting the boys and Joe the dog, crawl around the old tree stump that threw up its roots into the air and from the Captains view of the upstream vantage point, they, they learned how to navigate the river like a steamship captain should.
2:18 A.M. and the Jasmine tea at the Chinese Restaurant must be keeping me awake. . .got to use my brain and will power to resist the tea…that tastes so go but keeps me awake. dah! (that is Romanian for “yes.”)
VAIN? The humility in raising children are the hidden ingredients we call “inside jokes” you kinda HAVE TO BE THERE to enjoy the sand in the motorhome, after a day at the beach with kids kiting and Joe bounding to and fro on the seats. LIFE IS MESSY. . .as it should be…can’t wait to be without kitchen carpets in HEAVEN!
