Beautiful dreamer awake to the dream of angels coming and sounding their trumpets. Ask you daddy to tell you a Bible story and ask him to find the story of Daniel in the lions den or Noah and the Ark or baby Jesus a Jew at Christmas, or about the lily and it’s beautiful colors.
“My mediation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.” Psalms 104:34
“Rest yourself wholly in the hands of Jesus. Contemplate His great love, and while you meditate upon His self-denial, His infinite sacrifice made in our behalf in order that we should believe in Him, your heart will be filled with holy joy, calm peace, and indescribable love. As we talk of Jesus, as we call upon Him in prayer, our confidence that He is our personal, loving Saviour will strengthen, and His character will appear more and more lovely. . . .We may enjoy rich feasts of love, and as we fully believe that we are His by adoption, we may have a foretaste of heaven. Wait upon the Lord in faith. The Lord draws out the soul in prayer, and gives us to feel His precious love. We have a nearness to him, and can hold sweet communion with Him. We obtain distinct views of His tenderness and compassion, and our hearts are broken and melted with contemplation of the love that is given to us. We fell indeed an abiding Christ in the soul. . . Our peace is like a river, wave after wave of glory rolls into the heart, and indeed we sup [eat]with Jesus and he with us.We have a realizing sense of the love of God, and we rest in His love. No language can describe it, it is beyond knowledge. We are one with Christ, our life is hid with Christ in God. We have the assurance that when He who is our life shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory. With strong confidence we can call God our Father. Whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. His Spirit makes us like Jesus Christ in temper, and disposition, and we represent Christ to others. When Christ is abiding in the soul the fact cannot be hid; for He is like a well of water springing up into everlasting life. We can but represent the likeness of Christ in our character, and our words, our deportment, produces in others a deep, abiding, increasing love for Jesus, and we make manifest. . .that we conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.”
Since TODAY is Halloween, it reminds me of the hallow part of life, when we think of goblins instead of being Kings and Queens in Gods Universe, worthy to judge between good and evil in His Kingdom.
They say the smartest minds like to wrestle with the problem of “What is out there in space? What conflict will we meet? Are there germs and warfare we must meet? I would like to tell you, the limits of evil, are within the boundaries of earth. Outer Space is off limits for Satan, when God said, “Babylon, or another name for “confusion and babel” has fallen, has fallen, and ALL who CALL upon the NAME OF JESUS, GOD, will be SAVED. Satan was forever bound to this earth on 9-11-2001 when he was behind the attacks on United State of America. And why were these attacks permitted? We have become mesmerized by the same snake that tricked Eve into eating from the TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL. Now we are ‘like” the GODS, we know good and we really hate evil. We see how our confidence slips when we compare ourselves to Jesus, He is always superior. And that is the glory of God, He wishes to share His Kingdom with you. You are His reward for His great sacrifice. He knew you by name before you were born. He loved you before you knew Him.
Satan is de-fanged, when you say, “I’m saved by the blood of the Lamb.” You are reminding Lucifer that he killed the Son of God. And Lucifer goes out to lie, steal, cheat and destroy all of God’s children who are not praying and asking their angel, to destroy God’s enemy. When you release God’s angels to come and help you, sometimes others will see the angels when you don’t. When you were born, you were given an angel to keep charge over you. Listen to your angel, do what he says, obey his words. He will defend you to the end. Get to know your best friend, Jesus. Find a Bible and look up the names of how many found peace of mind, by trusting wholly in the name of God.
Noah and , his family had left the Ark and made a sacrifice of a lamb, while hundreds of animals were leaving the Ark after being quarantined for a year. The rainbow is pure White Light, that flows through the drops of rain in the clouds after the showers. It has no black or darkness. The rainbow is A PROMISE MADE BY GOD TO MAN, that there would never be another flood.
“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the HOPE of glory.” Colossians 1:27
That which brings sickness of body and mind to nearly all is dissatisfied feelings and discontentented repinings. They have not God, they have not THE HOPE which reaches to that within the veil, which is as an anchor to the soul both sure and steadfast. All who possess this HOPE will purify themselves even as He is pure. Such are free from restless longings, repinings, and discontent; they are not continually looking for evil and brooding over borrowed trouble. But we see many who are having a time of trouble beforehand; anxiety is stamped upon every feature; they seem to find no consolation, but have a continual fearful looking for evil. . . .Vain amusements will never correct the minds of such. They need the transforming influence of the Spirit of God in order to be happy. They need to be benefited by the mediation of Christ, in order to realize consolation, divine and substantial. “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him . . eschew [hate] evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.” . . .Those who have an experimental knowledge of this scripture are truly happy. . . .Christ in them the hope of glory will be health to the body and strength to the soul.
The soul that is imbued with the love of Jesus . . .loves to contemplate Jesus, and by beholding Him, will become changed into His likeness. Christ is formed within, the hope of glory. His confidence increases . . .and his love deepens and widens, as he has the assurance that he is abiding in christ, and Christ in him . . . And we may look to Jesus for His tenderest sympathy and be encouraged to persevere, putting our whole trust in Him who has said, “Be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.” Blessings Promised Those Who Abide in Christ for October 30, 2020 p. 310 in Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White.
How did God know I would need to hear of His love, the day after I left Terry to rest in peace, until the Lord comes to take him home. How does God know our heart and answer our prayers?
Yesterday while waiting in the church, I came across a book by Ellen White I had never heard of THE CAPTIVITY AND RESTORATION OF ISRAEL. Curiosity made me open the book, it opened to page 173. “If, under trying circumstances, men of spiritual power, pressed beyond measure, become discouaged and desponding; it at times they see nothing desirable in life, that they should choose it, this is nothing strange or new. Let all such remember that one of the mightiest of the prophets fled for his life before the rage of an infuriated woman. A fugitive, weary and travel-worn, bitter disappointment crushing his spirits, he asked that he might die. But it was when hope was gone, and his life-work seemed threatened with defeat, that he learned one of the most precious lessons of his life. Inthe hour of his greatest weakness he learned the need and the possibility of trusting God under circumstances the most forbidding. [excuse me for having a smile on my face, I can’t explain how peaceful the day was yesterday. When anointing Terry with olive oil, like Mary Magdalene anointed Jesus for his burial, my actions placed the day and the outcome in GODS HANDS. I just felt the tension in my neck go away. The smile comes when I know peace of mind because my muscles relax. When I read the word possibility of trusting GOD under the most forbidding circumstances I laughed.
Laughing has always been my way of relieving tension. Pro 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” Is there the possibility, that anointing Terry that morning and oil being the sign of the Holy Spirit, was actually inviting The God’s Holy Spirit into all our actions and words for the day? Can it be “the celebration of life” and the “future life in Christ” is written on almost every page of the Bible. And God seems to specialize in using people as good or bad example of how to or how not to live. The Bible is unique in not glossing over human mistakes in judgments we make.]
Those who, while spending their life energies in self-sacrificing labor, are tempted to give way to the despondency and distrust, may gather courage from the experience of Elijah. God’s watchful care, His love, His power, are especially manifest in behalf of His servants whose zeal is misunderstood or unappreciated, whose counsels and reproofs are slighted, and whose efforts toward reform are repaid with hated and opposition.
It is at the time of greatest weakness that Satan assails the soul with the fiercest temptations. It was thus that he hoped to prevail over the Son of God; for by this policy he had gained many victories over man. When the will-power weakened and faith failed, then those who had stood long and valiantly for the right, yielded to temptation. Moses, weared with forty years of wandering and unbelief, lost for a moment his hold on Infinite Power. He failed just one the borders of the promised land So with Elijah. He who had maintained his trust in Jehovah during the years of drought and famine; he who had stood undaunted before Ahab; he who throughout that trying day on Carmel had stood before the whole nation of Israel the sole witness to the true God, in a moment of weariness allowed the fear of death to overcome his faith in God.
And so it is today. When we are encompassed with doubt, perplexed by circumstances, or afflicted by poverty or distress, Satan seeks to shake our confidence in Jehovah. It is then that he arrays before us our mistakes, and tempts us to distrust God question His love. He hopes to discourage the soul, and break our hold on God.
Those who, standing in the forefront of the conflict, are impelled by the Holy Spirit to do a special work, will frequently feel a reaction when the pressure is removed. Despondency may shake the most heroic faith, and weaken the most steadfast will. But God understands, and He still pities and loves. He reads the motives and the purposes of the heart. To wait patiently, to trust when everything looks dark, is the lesson that the leaders in God’s work need to learn. Heaven will not ail them in their day of adversity. Nothing is apparently more helpless, yet really more invincible, than the souls that feels its nothingness, and relies wholly on God.
Not alone for men in positions of large responsibility is the lesson of Elijah’s experience in learning anew how to trust God in the hour of trial. He who was Elijah’s strength is strong to uphold every struggling child of His, no matter how weak. Of every one He expects loyalty, and to everyone He grants power according to the need. In his own strength man is strengthless; but in the might of God he may be strong to overcome evil and to help others to overcome. Satan can NEVER GAIN ADVANTAGE OF HIM WHO MAKES GOD HIS DEFENSE. DEFENSE. DEFENSE. “Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength.”
Isa 45:24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
Fellow Christian, Satan knows your weakness; therefore cling to Jesus. Abiding in God’s love, you may stand every test. EVERY TEST. The righteousness of Christ alone can give you power to stem the tide of evil that is sweeping OVER THE WORLD. Bring FAITH into your experience. Faith lightens every burden, relieves every weariness. Providences that are now mysterious you may solve by continued trust in God. Walk by faith IN THE PATH HE MARKS OUT. Trials will come; but go forward. This will strengthen your faith, and fit you for service. The records of sacred history are written, not merely that we may read AND WONDER, but that the SAME FAITH which wrought in God’s servants of old MAY WORK IN US. in no less marked manner will the Lord worknow, wherever there are hearts of faith to be channels of His power.
To us, as to Peter, the word is spoken, “Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for three, that they faith fail not.” Christ will NEVER ABANDON those for whom He has died. We may leave Him, and be overwhelmed with temptation; but Christ can NEVER TURN FROM ONE for whom He has paid the ransom of His own life. Could our spiritual vision be quickened, we should see souls bowed under oppression and burdened with grief, pressed as a cart beneath sheaves, and read to die in discouragement. We should see angels flying quickly to the aid of these tempted ones, forcing back the hosts of evil that encompass them, ,and placing their feet on the sure foundation. The battles waged between the two armies are as real as those fought by the armies of this world, andon the issue of the spiritual conflict eternal destinies depend.”
Luk 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: Luk 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
While the tendency is to try and move the brain to “think” somewhere else, and turn on the T.V. there are documentaries of how the lives of others, have found the truth, in educating others. And in helping others, we turn away from ourselves, to try and reach those who are facing their temptations, and ways to be released from the tensions. And God has never failed to help me find Him, in every crisis. If my crisis after crisis helps just one to turn to the Bible and open it up, and read the first place you find, you are opening your heart up to your angel, to lead you where to go, who to find as THE SOURCE of all true love and happiness.
God Bless You have a GOOD DAY, and let us have peace of mind, knowing God is working things out in His time, in His Way. Thank you for listening…over and out. Connie here in the country, where the sun is out, the grass needs to be mowed, the wilted veges in the garden can be packed into cans for the trash man to haul away next week.
The forecast looks like its warming up, the fresh snow is welcomed by the farmers. It can hold and water the wheat that has been planted that will come up next spring. The snow has minerals and ingredients that rain does not supply. SNOW is good. Though our sins be as scarlet GOD can make them white as snow.
There is a challenge before me. I wish to see the sign and I’ve waited 15 years. So, tomorrow is Shabbat, and the tonight the beginning of r-e-s-t and when I takes my own advice, the peace of mind will come, because GOD has put HIS TIMING into the very last days.
I already voted by mail. In our town we have a County Court House, and they handed me the page of what we have to vote on. They sat me in a room and I made my choices. If people do not understand we are voting for or against inviting gambling into Nebraska, and one suggestion is, we could make money on gambling to pay taxes. We could raise the salary of inmates, who are now working to improve country facilities, but it comes as an “anti slavery” law. Inmates could get more money to be in prison. However the prison in Kansas had 250 inmates with covid. The Ambi Nursing home, across the border, has covid, and already ten have died. It was good for me to see what issues we are voting on, before I went to vote. I feel I’m been more responsible this year than ever before in voting. My Uncle used to sit on the board to count the votes.
When I think of how many farmers need guns to protect their livestock against lions, yes we have lions, and animals they need to put down, I can’t image a farmer without a rifle. Most around town set traps. I saw my neighbor leaving in his pick up truck. He said, “Look in the back.” He had trapped a raccoon and I laughed. He was transplanting the varmit who was eating his corn. I found corn half eaten, in my garden this year. I decided it was the right time to harvest corn, that day.
Farmers are complaining about deer who have eaten corn from 8-12 feet into their fields. We pray for farmers at harvest and accidents can be costly. Last year a hired man, clipped the edge of the new put your corn in a huge plastic sack. It worked like a zipper, and unleased 17,000 pounds of grain. Yesterday I learned corn was going for $3.80 per bushel, in the field outside the cemetery was about 10,000 bushel, or around $40,000,00 if grain. Then the farmers, and the mortician, a farmer, began to explain the pastor, how deer can walk on the plastic and break it, how raccoons can dig through it, and somehow some kid drove his vehicle on one, and broke it open. Then Schylar explained their corn is not GMO and they have to have special containers. A mortician who is a farmer, with a side job of helping folks in their time of need. The preacher Jay Dee, is a farmer who works as the janitor at the High School, who goes in every night to spray for covid. Greg Bullion our pastor is moving to Washington, with his enthusiasm, wife and two daughters to teach healthy ways to live, with ideas of planting an orchard of apples or raspberries. Which means we will be given a young pastor, right out of school, to help train until he gets his “ordination papers.”
“In the vision of the prophet Ezekiel there was the appearance of a hand beneath the wings of the cherubim. This is to teach God’s servants that it is divine POWER that GIVES SUCCESS. Those whom God employs as His messengers are not to feel that His work is dependent on them. (shoulder relax) Finite beings are NOT LEFT TO CARRY THIS BURDEN OF RESPONSIBILITY. He who slumbers not, who is continually at work for the accomplishment of His designs, will carry forward His work. He will thwart the purposes of wicked men, and will bring to confusion the counsels of those who plot mischief against His people. he who is the King, the Lord of hosts, sitteth between the cherubim; and amidst the strife and tumult of nations, He guards his children still. When the strongholds of kings shall be overthrown, when the arrows of wrath shall strike through the hearts of His enemies, His people will be safe in His hands.” “What doest thou here?” Chapter 13 The Captivity and Restoration of Israel
“The failure to fulfill the divine purpose was very apparent in Malachi’s day. Sternly the Lord’s messenger dealt with the evil’s that were robbing Israel of temporal prosperity and spiritual power. In his rebuke against transgressors the prophet spared neither priests nor people. “The burden of the word of the lord to Israel” through Malachi was, that the lessons of the past be not forgotten, and that the covenant made by Jehovah with the house of Israel be kept with fidelity. Only by heartfelt repentance could the blessing of God be realized. “I pray you,” the prophet pleaded, “beseech God that He will be gracious unto us.”
American Indians who had a good leader, followed God, with his heart. If your heart is right, your conscience is at peace. And you can trust those who work with.
Page 633 in the Desire of Ages, “As in the days of Noah….” “In the prophecy of Jerusalem’s destruction Christ said, “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” I have used colors in underlining, pretty soon every page will be rainbow. “And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the found winds, for one end of heaven to the other.”
Eze 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. Eze 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. Eze 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Eze 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Eze 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, Eze 37:14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
There will be huge opening of the graves when JESUS COMES AGAIN.
When Michael the Archangel stands up, after being crowned Worthy, Worthy is The Lamb that was slain, to be Victorious over SATAN, in Daniel 12, the WORLD will see The Triumph of God’s Love.
The Time of the End Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Dan 12:5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. Dan 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? Dan 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Dan 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Dan 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Dan 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. Dan 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Does this LAST VERSE mean that DANIEL will COME ALIVE from his rest, to “STAND IN THE LOT” at the END OF DAYS?
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Psalms 32:1
That God who marks the fall of a sparrow, marks your deportment and your feelings; He marks your envy, your prejudice, your attempt to justify your action in the least matter of injustice. When you misconceive the words and acts of another, and your own feelings are stirred, so that you make incorrect statements, and it is known that you are at variance with your brother, you lead others, through their confidence in you, to regard him just as you do; and by the root of bitterness springing up, many are defiled. When it is evident that your feelings are incorrect, do you try just as diligently to remove the erroneous impressions as you did to make them?
Now God requires that you who have thus done the least injustice to another shall confess your fault, not only to the one you have injured, but to those who through your influence have been led to regard their brother in a false light, and to make of none effect the work God has given him to do. . . .By repentance and confession you can have pardon registered against your name; or you can resist the conviction of the Spirit of God, and during the rest of your life, work to make it appear that your wrong feelings and unjust conclusions could not be helped. But there stands the action, there stands the evil committed, there stands the ruin of those in whose hearts you planted the root of bitterness. . . .
Whatever the character of your sin, confess it. If it is against God only, confess only to Him. If you have wronged or offended others, confess also to them, and the blessing of the Lord will rest upon you. In this way you die to self, and Christ is formed within. . .Our consecration to God must be unreserved, our love ardent, our faith unwavering. Then the expressions of the lips will testify to the quicked intelligence of the mind and the deep movings of the Spirit of God upon the soul.

The Angel and the Little Scroll
Rev 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: Rev 10:2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, Rev 10:3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. Rev 10:5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Rev 10:8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. Rev 10:9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. Rev 10:10 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. (Many in 1844 were disappointed Jesus didn’t come and the women’s suffrage movement, moved into politics.)
Rev 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.
This CALL to REPEAT THE PROPHECY before MANY PEOPLE and NATIONS and in different LANGUAGES and before KINGS comes again to the prophets.
Revelation 18 was opened by the event in NEW YORK CITY and WASHINGTON D.C.
The Fall of Babylon Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. (the way this is GOOD NEWS!) Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: Rev 18:12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, Rev 18:13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Rev 18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. Rev 18:15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, Rev 18:16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! Rev 18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, Rev 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate. Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. Rev 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. Rev 18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Rev 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
The King of Babylon was made “like a beast, eating grass” for seven times, which was seven years. The Kingdom of the Babylon was seen as one of the greatest seven wonders of the Ancient world. It is said that Satan used the pattern for Babylon after the city of Jerusalem in Heaven, with a RIVER RUNNING THROUGH IT. Can is be United States the most blessed Nation in the world with its natural resources, immigrants and those wishing for peace, have become like Babylon?
As you read the PROPHECY of REVELATION 18 remember some thought Jesus would come in 1844, and there was simultaneous movement around the world, to end drinking and make the serving of alcohol a PROHIBITION, and in this fight the ladies pushed for a vote in government. Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
The startling prediction of 9-11-2001 and the fulfillment of prophecy is due to an all knowing, omnipotent GOD. The slaying of THE PROPHET and saints, goes along with a shameful thought of re crucifying JESUS CHRIST. Which is why God had to take God back to Heaven.
Which is why God has to place in our hands, this wonderful gift of giving the message of Salvation, made by human sacrifice of THE PRINCE OF PEACE, wonderful, counselor the ALMIGHTY GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Bethlehem, saved out of Egypt, and fulfilling all prophecies.
With the opening of Revelation 18, comes the facts of seeing the abomination of desolation spoken of by Jesus, in Daniel.
The Time of the End Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. (All who call upon the name of Jesus, shall be saved, your name is written in His Book of Life) Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. (Those like the High Priest Caiaphas and Pilate, who knew they were condemning an innocent man, will rise from their graves. The bones of Caiaphas are in the Israeli Museum. What a day that will be when, when the dead bones come alive!) Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (The bones of Daniel may come alive. His tomb is in modern day Iran. Wouldn’t that be something to see.) Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
The Daily Sacrifice in the Heavenly Sanctuary was taken away on 9-11-2001. 2, 390 days, divided by 365 days per year is around 6.5 years. You ask me, What about a day for year in Bible prophecy? That ended with the Great Disappointment in 1844 when Jesus did not return on the prophetic timeline of day/year.
The 19 years since 9-11-2001 is convincing proof, GOD IS VERY PATIENT. However there seems to be a need to replace the second angel on the Ark of the Covenant with God and man. The High Priests who entered the MOST HOLY once year, were invited to ASK THE ANGEL THERE a question. What question would you ask THE HOLY ANGEL, if you were the High Priest? I would ask, “Who would replace the female angel to stand with you defending the Law and Government of God?”
Jesus would enter the most Holy as our mediator, and as our High Priest, and “come out” as he has regained his position as the HIGHEST ARCHANGEL, in defeating Lucifer in Heaven and on earth, by his death. Yes, Jesus Christ has new name, as the LEADER and ARCHANGEL Michael. Who was voted in as the only one worthy to OPEN the 7th seal on the 7 sealed scroll in Heaven.
The Scroll and the Lamb Rev 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? Rev 5:3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. Rev 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. Rev 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Rev 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. Rev 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. Rev 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying,Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Rev 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
NOW: What will YOU DO WITH JESUS? Whose government do you wish to be under and who do you wish to worship?
This article has the most comments and a reminder to me to REJOICE as I grieve for the loss of my husband, whose funeral is tomorrow, and I do this through tears and heart heavy to see this test of my character over as I rest in the peace of his arms.
I would never have found myself rereading Revelation 18 and 14, until I came across this quote by Ellen White:
“How comes the word that I have declared that New York is to be swept away by a tidal wave? This I
Prophet Muhammad, along with Buraq and Gabriel, visit Hell, and see “shameless women” being eternally punished for exposing their hair to the sight of strangers. Persian, 15th century.
have never said! I have said as I looked at the great buildings going up there story after story. ‘What terrible scenes will take place when the Lord shall arise to shake terribly the earth! Then the words of Revelation 18:1-3 shall be fulfilled.’ The whole of the eighteenth chapter of Revelation is a warning of what is coming on the earth. But I have no light in particular in regard to what is coming on New York, only…
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:11
There was never one who walked among men more cruelly slandered than the Son of man. He was derided and mocked because of His unswerving obedience to the principles of God’s holy law. They hated Him without a cause. Yet He stood calmly before His enemies, declaring that reproach is a part of the Christians’ legacy, counseling His followers how to meet the arrows of malice, bidding them not to faint under persecution.
While slander may blacken the reputation, it can not stain the character. That is in God’s keeping. So long as we do not consent to sin, there is no power, whether human or satanic, that can bring stain upon the soul. A man whose heart is stayed upon God is just the same in the hour of his most afflicting trials and most discouraging surroundings as when he was in prosperity, when the light and favor of God seemed to be upon him. His words, his motives, his actions, may be misrepresented and falsified, but he does not mind it, because he has greater interests at stake. Like Moses, he endures as “seeing him who is invisible.”
Christ is acquainted with all that is misunderstood and misrepresented by men. His children can afford to wait in calm patience and trust, no matter how much maligned and despised; for nothing is secret that shall not be made manifest, and those who honor God shall be honored by Him in the presence of men and angels.
“When men shall revile you and persecute you,” said Jesus, “rejoice, and be exceeding glad.”
“Great is the reward in heaven” of those who are witnesses for Christ through persecution and reproach. While the people are looking for earthly good, Jesus points them to a heavenly reward. But He does not place it all in the future life; it begins here.
Ellen White, Sons and Daughters of God. October 28
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10
Jesus does not present to His followers the hope of attaining earthly glory and riches, and of having a life free from trial, but He presents to them the privilege of walking with their Master in the paths of self-denial, and reproach, because the world knows them not.
He who came to redeem the lost world, was opposed by the united forces of the adversaries of God and man. In an unpitying confederacy, evil men and evil angels arrayed themselves against the compassion, His unlikeness to the world provoked the bitterest hostility. Because He would give no license for the exercise of the evil passions of our nature, He aroused the fiercest opposition and enmity. So it is with all who will live godly in Christ Jesus. Between righteousness and sin, love and hatred, truth and falsehood, there is an irrepressible conflict. When one presents the love of Christ and the beauty of holiness, he is drawing away the subjects of Satan’s kingdom, and the prince of evil is aroused to resist it. Persecution and reproach await all who are imbued with the Spirit of Christ. The character of the persecution changes with the times; but the principle—the spirit that underlies it—is the same that was slain the chosen of the lord ever since the days of Abel.
As men seek to come into harmony with God, they will find that the offense of the cross has not ceased. Principalities and powers and wicked spirits in high places are arrayed against tall who yield olbeience to the law of heaven. Therefore, so far from causing grief, persecution should bring JOY to the Disciples of Christ; for it is an EVIDENCE that they are FOLLOWING in the STEPS OF THEIR MASTER.
Through trials and persecution, the glory—character—of God is revealed in His chosen ones. Sons and Daughters of God, by Ellen White for October 27, 2020.
P.S. There is Bible verse about His chosen.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
When we come in contact with God, He has “wished” to know you, us, we, them, before we were created. It’s like Jesus created you, before anyone saw who you would become, but JESUS KNEW, you would and could do it with HIS HELP.
My Mom said, “Connie, listen for that still small voice.” And I didn’t understand it, until I was engaged one night overlooking the lights of the city below. But when I got home, I “KNEW” I had just made a promise…that I would have to keep. There was no mention of love, but a business like proposition that I would graduate first and make more money than a nurse.
I laid on the bed in the dorm, knowing I could not talk to my Mother. I knew had made my parents angry, but they get over it. They would go to the Playhouse and watch Fiddler On The Roof. How dare their daughter, find a mate, without first getting the approval of the father? Deep down I knew, I had hurt both my parents, but when they planned that very special and very important Christmas in Leadville, under the moonlit sky and clouds, with my boyfriend from Nebraska, who would also be baptized in our church with some 2000 members watching.
Mother was one for dramatics. She was the wedding coordinator. She was the best a planing parties, she was there all the time. But, when I asked her to “uninvite Eddie” to the Cabin, she was emphatic, “He is our friend too.” Mom hand the “knot tied” and when I arrived back at Loma Linda University, my boyfriend was at the door almost before I knew it.
My roommate said, “Connie, Roger is going to ask you to marry him.” With a stupid remark I asked her, “What will I say?” And Karen had an answer. “I would say, Thank You.” And that is what I said, as the watch was in the glove compartment, and sliding unto my wrist, with me unable to resist.
I think in heaven, there will be a time, when we confess, we weren’t very smart! We were not mature. We young and impulsive. We were going to make it. And we did MAKE IT…in the round figures….with his income and mine, he retired at the age of 38 and wanted to make money while he slept, or played golf.
There seems to be some “unwritten” rules that come to play when it comes to “LOVE” as if the feelings are swayed, and emotions betrayed the fact, reality can barely be understood, until you’ve lived it. And living takes a lifetime, to grow up, mature and realize LOVE IS WHAT MAKES US HAPPY. And true love is how GOD leads us from where we have been to where we are now.
Connie, YOU are GOOD for a BAD EXAMPLE. But, I’m not placing the blame on God. He knew this path would require all I needed to know, in His time and not before.
If GOD is using me, and since He asked me “for a sign” I will be terribly disappointed if THE SIGN doesn’t come SOON! God never comes EARLY, and he is NEVER LATE. And it is the social upheaval in every nation brought on by the PLAGUE, that makes this a very UNIQUE and BEST PLACE for mankind to LEARN NEW SKILLS and to be patient with those who don’t feel threatened by the plague.
God has made mankind RIPE TO LISTEN….mankind is wondering “WHAT’S GOING ON?”
God made one promise, that the Time of Trouble would be shortened, and those wishing for translation He will not permit to be persecuted and die. Because NO MARTYR would convince any soul to turn to GOD…once that person has made up their mind to try and fight Satan on their own without God’s help. GOD HELP THEM!
So, you see, GOD is defending you because you are defending Him and His Government.
Didn’t know you joined an army, with a Captain who is undefeatable!
When did you enlist? I was born into the regiment, we marched like soldiers, we even trained how to march under a man who served under Patton. Left, right, left right, forward march. And we could sing while we marched and learned how to build a fire, under a umbrella with the sprinklers going. We were Pathfinders. And we had to shoulder our loads. But Gloria’s Mom, really made good tacos and that taffy pull was a big mess of hot sugar candy. And we will NEVER FORGET IT.
In those days, it was boys who persecuted us…lol…or we them.

Lazarus, Mary and Martha lived with their Uncle in Bethany near Jerusalem where Jesus came to visit his friends. Their childhood relationships drew the two girls to love and appreciate him. When Lazarus was raised from the dead, just feet from where they lived, Jesus would return to visit his friends. Mary of Magdalene is the same sister of Martha and Lazarus.
Their Uncle was guilty of incest and Mary had the brunt of his affections. The Prophet Jesus understood her better than most, and he cast seven demons out of her. However when the Priest of the Temple came to visit Simon and meet THE PROPHET who had raised Lazarus from the dead, their ire was raised. Jesus had exposed their relationships with Mary. Jesus had to die. The Pharisees wish to have their guilt placed upon the man, who exposed their sin.
Mary by then was living in Magdala, but she came home to Bethany with a very expensive gift, to pour and anoint the head and feet of Jesus in the crowd of men. The impulse to thank Jesus for raising her brother from the dead, and not condemning her for being used by the Temple Priests led her to open the perfumed anointing oil. It was her best gift. It was her best idea of how to tell Jesus how thankful she was that he had said, “Neither do I condemn Thee, go and sin no more.”
As the smell of the perfumed oil reached the air and circled around the full house of guests, the men began to humiliate her for her waste of money spent on such a luxury. Judas suggested she sell the anointing oil and give the money to him, to help the poor and needy.
However, she had heard Jesus speak of His approaching death, and in deep love and sorrow she had longed to show him honor. At great personal sacrifice she had purchased an alabaster box of of spikenard, very costly, with which to anoint His body. But now many were declaring that he was about to be crowned king. Her grief was turned to joy, and she was eager to be first in honoring her Lord. ‘Breaking her box of oil, she poured its contents up the head and feet of Jesus; then as she knelt weeping, moistening them with her tears, she wiped His feet with her long, flowing hair.
She had sought to avoid observation, and her movements might have passed unnoticed but the oil filled the room with the fragrance, and published her act to all present. Jesus saw that she embarrassed and distressed. He knew that in this act of service she had expressed her gratitude for the forgiveness of her sins, and He brought relief to her mind. Lifting His voice above the murmur of criticism, “She hath wrought a good work on Me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me have not always. She hath done what she could: she is come beforehand to anoint My body to the burying.”
Mary had not known the whole significance of her deed of love. She could not answer her accusers. She could not explain why she had shown that occasion for anointing Jesus. The Holy Spirit had planned for her and she had obeyed His promptings. Inspiration stoops to give no reason. An unseen presence, it speaks to mind and soul, and moves the heart to action. It is its own justification.
P.S. I’ve been blessed with the occasion to visit the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. I was shocked to see the cave, connected very close to the house, like a door to the cellar. The open patio with its mosaic tiles, that opens to the trees, with small rooms connected to a wall, seemed a likely place for friends to meet outdoors in the open air. I’ve looked at many images of Mary, the “prostitute” however, the whole story emerges with her uncle, healed of leprosy, guilty of incest, and Judas ready to condemn. The house where Jesus sought to be with his friends. The mixture of priests, Pharisees, disciples, in a family home, has so much mystery as this site, with Martha working as the slave, Lazarus alive and marking the point of jealousy and rage of the priests and Pharisees.
The community of Bethany with an open outdoor party, to celebrate the ONE who RAISED Lazarus from the dead, with the intent of thinking, Jesus would become the king. And Mary not knowing, had filled the air with her thankfulness that Jesus had forgiven her sins, and with the purchase of her expensive alabaster box, she raised the anger of Judas.
Who would be so gracious to look into Mary’s heart and see that she had so much to be thankful for? Jesus had not condemned her. Jesus knew he was going to die. Jesus would prepare Mary for the sadness to come.
When are lives are like a rollercoaster, with ups and downs, with joy and sorrow, it is not a easy road. However the “idea” of GOD wanting us to ASK HIM to BRING A MIRACLE seems to be in the heart of older women, whose prayers linger on “what all God can do.” And if it is God’s desire to turn something sad into something crazy and wonderful, who am I not to ask for a miracle? I think we need to ask for MORE miracles.
